A sad and common trend among many lodges and guides is to simply keep the first  couple undersized fish you catch and call it good. Not us! We put in the extra effort to target quality sized fish from 25-75 lbs. for you. These are the best eaters, provide great sport and quickly fill your fish boxes.   

Fish in the 100 to 300 lb class are not uncommon. Fish this size are very exciting to battle and will test your strength and stamina.  Many of our customers choose to release these giants since they are all females, lay up to 3 million eggs per year, and don't taste nearly as good as smaller fish.  We support this decision by offering any customer who releases a fish over 100 lbs. (estimated) a complimentary baseball cap.

When fishing halibut and bottom fish we use quality stand up rods from G. Loomis combined with durable Shimano lever drag reels loaded with 100 lb. spectra line. 

We fish either chunk bait or jigs depending on the conditions and size of fish we are targeting.  The work you put into reeling up your limit of halibut will be appreciated once you start enjoying all the delicous filets you take home.
